About Serbin Associates
 The Serbin Philosophy of Nonprofit Consulting
The goal of Serbin Associates is helping nonprofit organizations strengthen and sustain their organizational capacity, which is the basis of their ability to serve their clients. Our approach is to mentor and coach the community-based organizations in the Organizational Development (OD) skills and techniques that we practice and transfer these skills to the CBOs leadership and staff.
If we succeed, by the end of the initiative, we will have worked our way out of a job.
Uncovering Organizational Wisdom
Our working philosophy is that the wisdom that is needed to create and sustain healthy, growing nonprofits resides within the organization.
The goal of the work we do with our clients is to elicit, nurture and grow the inherent capacities within each organization. This involves interacting with both staff and management, as equals in a partnership, whose mission is defined by the goals of each nonprofit agency.

We recognize that a healthy workplace fosters:
- the experience of unity and harmony among both staff and clients
- the ability of the organization to provide innovative and creative solutions
To that end, we work to surface challenges and frustrations and help all parties in taking personal responsibility to forge solutions collaboratively.
